Co-Curricular Activities

Marcellin College offers its students co-curricular activities in a range of sports, music, drama, debating, community service and many other activities. These activities provide opportunities for students to grow as persons through a range of experiences with other people. Our hope is that each student will find in the range of activities, valuable opportunities to extend his education beyond the range of the classroom.

Music and Drama

The school has a dynamic and vibrant music and drama program. Music is supported at Marcellin with three full time teaching staff and a number of visiting instrumental teachers . They work in a specially designed performing Arts Centre.

All students entering the College in Year 7 have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument . All Year 7 music classes are instrumental classes . Students may continue with their instrument in Year 8.

Music theory an practice is taught at all year levels to the VCE.

The music program also continues through the various ensembles , bands orchestra and groups that perform regularly at college assemblies and functions.
