Over the past two years the College has been discerning ways to improve our online communication in an ever developing digital world with the use of digital technologies.
Stage 1 of this project has involved working in collaboration with website development company, Lava Digital in re-imaging our online communication tools, namely our website and The Eagle newsletter. Lava Digital is a leading digital agency that has a strong reputation for developing high-level websites.
With the assistance of Lava Digital we have designed a new Marcellin website that is dynamic, contemporary, intuitive and visually appealing. We believe the new site strengthens our online presence, reflects our Catholic/Marist identity, and celebrates student and community achievement.
The new website caters for first time visitors, such as prospective families and staff, as well as supporting current community needs. The website also features quick links to partnered associations for ease of access (ie: Marcellin Old Collegians Association).
The new website will act as a central point, leading to other internal communication vehicles, such as the redesign of The Eagle newsletter. Parents will be receiving The Eagle embedded in their email from the commencement of Term 2.
We are excited to announce that the new website will officially go live at the commencement of Term 2.
Stage 2 of our online communications strategy will provide our current community with new login details to enter the newly developed MyMarcellin Portal to access online student reports, student attendance records, etc. We anticipate this launch some time in Semester Two, 2014.
